Diocesan policy on the “Safe Environment for Children” states that “any volunteer who has routine contact on some consistent basis, recurring at prescribed time, whether daily, weekly, monthly or even seasonally must have all background checks.”
 
Any individual 18 years old or older who would like to volunteer at Resurrection Parish needs to be in compliance with our Diocesan Safe Environment Policy.

Safe Environment Process

Obtaining Clearances for Employees and Volunteers:

1. New to volunteering? Go to www.virtusonline.org 
2. Click “First-Time Registrant” to begin the registration process if you are a new volunteer. 
3. Use the access code 'protect'
4. If you are not a new Volunteer and have already made a diocesan database account before, but just need to renew one or more of your certificates, then do not do step 1, but go to the diocesan website www.diopitt.org/parish-volunteers and select the clearance(s) you need to renew. If you just need a new Fingerprint Waiver, click here and please send the signed certificate to the parish office by mail or by email attachment to one of the coordinators listed below.
