Latest News! - Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we will not be providing buses for the 48th Annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. Every year our parish has faithfully taken two buses filled with adults, families, and school kids down to Washington DC to be a voice for the unborn. As disappointing as this is to not be making the pilgrimage this year, there are some options if you would like to participate in a local or national way. I will be participating in the Bridgeville March for Life at Corpus Christi Parish and would love to see you there!
1. Friday, January 22, 12:00-4:00pm: Eucharistic Adoration at St. Thomas More church followed by Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be prayed at 3:00pm. Anyone is welcome to come and pray in the church during this time. This is the date of the landmark Supreme Court decision of Roe v Wade, when abortion was legalized in our country up until the 9th month of pregnancy.
2. Friday, January 29th, 12:00pm: March for Life at Corpus Christi parish in Bridgeville is hosting mass at Noon at Holy Child followed by Adoration and a short prayer vigil at the Knights of Columbus Monument to the Unborn, which is outside near the back of the church. The march will be approximately a 40-minute walk through the streets of Bridgeville stopping to pray at the Planned Parenthood on Washington Pike. It will conclude at Holy Child Church. Anyone is welcome to participate. More details can be found on their parish website under the Pro-life ministry webpage. www.holychildrcparish.org
3. Friday, January 29th: Virtual Youth Rally and Mass for Life will kick off at 8:30 AM on virtual formats, and will be streamed on YouTube (@WashArchdiocese), Facebook Live, and the http://youthrallyandmassforlife.org/ website. This live event will feature Josh Brahm from the Equal Rights Institute, who will speak about ways to talk about pro-life issues in a way that is effective and appropriate. Josh will also talk about different apologetics arguments and the ways that we, as Christians, can best represent our values on human life and dignity. The virtual rally will also feature music from Sarah Kroger, Out of the Darkness, and Ivan Diaz. The Youth Rally will be followed by a Mass with Cardinal Gregory and local bishops, livestreamed from St. Matthew’s Cathedral.

5. All day, every day: PRAY for the end to abortion! The rosary is a powerful weapon to help us in the fight to end the gruesome act of ending an innocent human life. Pray for all the women (and the men) involved in a crisis pregnancy, that they receive the love and support they need to make the sacrifice of love to give their precious children the gift of LIFE.
The purpose of the Respect-Life Committee is to raise awareness of the need to protect our pre-born, our handicapped, and our elderly in our church, our community, and our country. We are created in God’s image and likeness and each life is a treasure, a gift from our creator.
The Respect-Life Committee helps support and raise awareness of the need to help girls and women experiencing a crisis pregnancy. We have fundraisers to assist our centers for families in need of help.
Love of Life, prayer, and help are always needed, as is knowledge of our laws, and assistance in educating our citizens to protect our babies who can’t speak for themselves. Please join us!
