Join with other Ladies of Charity once a month for Project Linus to create blankets for sick children. No sewing skills needed! The group meets the first Monday of the month from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in Capistran Hall at St. John Capistran church.
Please join us on the First Friday of every month immediately after the 11:30 am Mass in the Lamb of God Chapel to pray the rosary and to pray a prayer of reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The First Friday Devotions are a set of Catholic devotions to especially recognize the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and through it offer reparations for sins.
There will be a gathering after the 11:30am Mass at St. Thomas More Church on the first Friday of each month in the Breezeway between the church and the Family Life Center. Light refreshments will be served. Please stop by and take this opportunity to get to know one another. All are welcome.
Every Saturday in Lamb of God Chapel, a Holy Hour for Priests is prayed during the noon hour. This includes a Rosary for Priests - which could become a part of your First Saturday devotions. Then, you are welcome to stay for an extra 15 minutes in silent meditation on the mysteries of the Rosary in order to keep Our Lady company and complete the First Saturday Devotion sacrifice.
On the 2nd Tuesday of each month, we make PB&J sandwiches which will be delivered to the Red Door program at St. Mary of Mercy Parish downtown. (Background clearances needed to participate.) No sign-up required...please just join us! We also have an at-home portion of this ministry. If you are interested in packing snack bags at home and dropping them off at either campus of Resurrection Parish at a designated time, we will transport them to the Red Door to be distributed downtown. (No clearances needed!) Contact Ann Rhodes at rhodesann@comcast.net or 412-596-2876 for sign-up information.
