The Lenten Fish Frys are just around the corner (first one is Friday, March 7!) and this is a reminder to contact the Safe Environment staff to find out if your clearances are current and up to date. It is imperative that you check to be certain to avoid being turned away for non-compliancy. Remember, the Fish Frys are fundraisers and volunteering for them requires clearances by the Diocese of Pittsburgh and Fr. Mike, our pastor.
There are four more Safe Environment workshops coming up to assist anyone in need of clearances or to update them: Thursday, February 6 in the former Parish Library at St. Thomas More at 10:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19 in the Reardon Room at St. John Capistran at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 19 in the former Parish Library at St. Thomas More at 6:00 p.m. In addition, and VERY IMPORTANT – if your email has changed in the last five years since creating your Diocesan Safe Environment database, PLEASE contact the Safe Environment staff with your new email. This will help us and avoid sending reminders to the wrong email letting you know that a clearance needs to be completed or updated. Otherwise, your account is placed in INACTIVE status if there is no response within three weeks. Thank you for your attention to these most important details and for doing all that you can to keep His most vulnerable safe.
