I thank Bishop Eckman for allowing me the opportunity to write this week and introduce myself to the parish. First, let me say that is a true delight to be a part of Resurrection Parish, and I have enjoyed meeting so many
of the parishioners and staff. I am honored to be your parochial vicar and am glad to serve the people of
Resurrection and the South Hills. It is a new adventure for me, since almost all of my assignments have been north of the city. Originally, I am from Aspinwall and attended St. Scholastica grade school (Now Christ the
Divine Teacher), North Catholic High School and Duquesne University. Prior to becoming a priest, I was the
Assistant Director of Admissions for Duquesne University and worked as a high school social studies teacher in the Riverview School District.
I studied at St. Paul Seminary, Duquesne University, and the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. before being ordained in 2014. My previous assignments were as the parochial Vicar at the parish grouping in New Castle, parochial vicar at St. Mary of the
Assumption in Glenshaw, Diocesan Director of Priestly Vocations, and parochial vicar at St. Kilian and Holy Sepulcher Parishes in Cranberry and Glade Mills. I also have been the chaplain to Vincentian High School, Central and Oakland Catholic High Schools and Seton-LaSalle High School where I am currently co-chaplain. That’s a lot of moves, but it has also been a lot of blessings too, and I have thoroughly
enjoyed being a priest. When I am not in the parish, I enjoy golfing, bowling, playing piano, and watching the Pittsburgh Penguins.
One of my hopes is to establish a young adult group for the parish for people between the ages of 18-40. If you are in that age range or know someone who is, and are interested in living their faith, then please feel free to contact me. I am very much looking forward to journeying in faith with you all and to living out our call to
holiness together. See you in Church!
