As the summer winds down, I know that everyone is wondering, what does Resurrection Parish have on the horizon for fellowship this fall??!!
This week we have the Pray and Stay Social Seniors Lunch. It is a lovely afternoon for our parish seniors. We invite our parish senior citizens to join us for the 11:30 a.m. Mass, then stay for a delicious meal. This week our theme is Back to School! We have Pray and Stay monthly. Please check the bulletin for more info.
Next week, on Sunday, August 27th, we will be hosting the Annual Resurrection Parish Picnic. Bring a lawn chair for an 11:30 a.m. “Mass on the Grass”, located on the Ave Maria Academy soccer field. Following Mass, we will enjoy Faith, Food and Fun! A picnic lunch will be served at 1:00 p.m. There will be yard games, face-painting, a philanthropy tent, and LIVE MUSIC with The Emmaus Praise Band! Please RSVP on the parish website or by calling the parish office. It helps if we have a head count!
Donut Sunday is held the first Sunday of every month (except during Lent). Join us in Capistran Hall or the Family Life Center following all of the Sunday Masses for a donut! It’s a great opportunity to chat with friends that you see across the church!
One of our best kept secrets might be Second Saturday Suppers!! On the second Saturday of each month our committee plans a lovely meal in Capistran Hall, following the 5:00 p.m. Mass. Everyone is invited to attend. We’re looking forward to seeing you at our next supper on September 9th. See this bulletin for the menu, then RSVP to www.resurrectionpgh.org/second-saturday-suppers. Dinner is better when we eat together… We hope to see you there!
THE LAST ONE WIN$!! We are very excited about our new fall fundraiser for the parish, The Last One WIN$!! Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 23rd, then purchase your Numbers or Tickets for a fun night filled with games of chance! After all, who doesn’t want to win the big bucks??!! Check out the bulletin this week to find out how you can play and win!!!
This year marks the 32nd Annual Arts and Craft Show, held at St. Thomas More. On Saturday, October 7th, we will host one hundred crafters. You are sure to find the perfect gift to give someone for Christmas! The show will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is free and concessions will be available. Grab your friends and spend the day with us!
In mid-October, we are adding another new event, Trivia Night! Save the date for Saturday, October 21st! You can put together your own team, or we can do it for you! This BYOB & Apps event is the perfect grown-up’s night out!!
Yes, it’s 80s Night!!!! On Saturday, November 18th put on your best 80s costume and join us for a fabulous night of fun - 1980s style!! Listen to all your favorite hits of the decade while enjoying games, food, and flashbacks to the 1980s!!!
All Aboard… The Polar Express Family Movie Night is Friday, December 1st! Put on your Christmas PJs, have some hot chocolate and popcorn, and enjoy the movie on our big screens! More details coming soon….
Our Resurrection Parish family is so blessed that we are able to come together for events, big and small. We hope to see all of you with us this fall!
