The Prayer Shawl Ministry crochet or knit prayer shawls which range in size from one you can keep in your pocket, lay across your lap, or large enough to wrap around your shoulders and arms. These shawls can be used during illness, recovery, comfort after a loss, or in celebration of happy occasions…there are endless possibilities! We also knit bibs which are handed out at baptisms. A miraculous medal or cross, prayer card, and rosary are attached to each prayer shawl or bib after which each item is blessed and the recipient’s name is entered into a prayer book and prayed for at each meeting.

We gather together the first and third Thursday of every month from 10:30-11:15am in the Rooney room at St. Thomas More.
