Hello, my name is Bridget Graves, and I am very blessed to be the new Events and Development Coordinator for our parish. One of the many things that I love about our parish is that we have so many opportunities for fellowship and community. Most recently, you may have seen me organizing our Parish Fish Frys. We had an incredible Fish Fry Season. I am so grateful to all of our fabulous volunteers and guests who showed up week after week to help make our Fish Frys a success.  We could not have done it without them!!! Thank you.

Fish Fry is just one of our many events that is also a fundraiser for our parish. The largest of our fundraising events is    SummerFest. This year’s festival is going to be great! SummerFest will be held June 19th-24th. The games, inflatables, rides and food we all love will be back! Be sure to get your $20,000 Cash Raffle tickets, and don’t forget to check the bulletin each week for Flea Market and Basket Raffle information! This SummerFest we will be welcoming back Jeff Jimerson and Airborne, No Bad Juju, and Velveeta for our live entertainment line up! We are also adding a new band this year, the Soul Searchers! Come check it out!

Other upcoming parish events are the Parish Picnic and the new “Taste of Resurrection” food night, both in August. In the fall, we will be having new event, where you can win Cash and Prizes, and a Totally 80s Party! Around Christmas time we are also planning a Polar Express Movie Evening for the whole family!

We love to plan parish events, but did you know we also can help plan your events too? Do you have an event coming up, and need a venue??? We can help! Resurrection Parish offers rooms at both campuses, St. John Capistran and St. Thomas More, for your celebration needs! Whether it is a Wedding, Bridal Shower, Baby Shower, Rehearsal Dinner, Graduation, Anniversary, or Birthday Party, we have a space that will work for you!
